The Minister of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, graced the second session of the Maldives National University (MNU) graduation ceremony held this afternoon.
The ceremony was attended by the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, and senior officials of the university. A total of 116 students graduated from four faculties during this session.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Shaheem commended the Maldives National University for its continued progress and rising academic standards, expressing appreciation for the leadership and their dedication to advancing higher education in the country.
In his address to the graduates, the Minister emphasized that knowledge must be accompanied by compassion. He highlighted that kindness and helping others are among the deeds most beloved by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala.
He further encouraged students to remain hopeful and committed to continuous self-improvement, stressing the importance of perseverance in the face of life’s challenges.
“Muslims must always be people of hope. In the face of challenges, one must remain steadfast and resolute, like an unshakable mountain,” he stated.
The Minister also expressed his gratitude to the university leadership for the invitation to participate in such a prestigious occasion.
