Saudi Arabia Donates 50 Tons of Dates to the Maldives Through King Salman Humanitarian Aid Centre

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, under the patronage of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz, has donated 50 tons of dates to the Maldives.

A special ceremony was held today at the Islamic Centre’s seminar hall to officially hand over the donation to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Endowments.

During the ceremony, the dates were presented on behalf of Saudi Arabia by His Excellency Yahya Hassan Al-Qahtani, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the Maldives. Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed accepted the donation on behalf of the Ministry.

Previously, the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs had also donated 10 tons of dates to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Endowments. Those dates have since been distributed by the Ministry across various sectors.
