Co-Founding and Strategic Development of Jamiyyathu Rahma: Advancing Humanitarian Service, Islamic Education, and Community Empowerment

Co-founded and serves as Advisor to Jamiyyathu Rahma, a humanitarian and educational non-governmental charitable organization established on 2 March 2015 and registered under Law No. 1/2003 with the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Maldives. The organization is recognized as a charitable institution by the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) and is internationally endorsed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, enabling the organization to mobilize humanitarian and educational assistance initiatives in compliance with national regulations.

  • Provided strategic leadership and advisory guidance in advancing the organization’s mission of humanitarian service, educational development, and community empowerment. Jamiyyathu Rahma focuses on supporting public welfare initiatives including the renovation and development of health centres, preschools, schools, and educational institutions, while facilitating higher education opportunities, academic research initiatives, and public awareness programmes.
  • Promoted the dissemination of Islamic knowledge through digital and print media, including the production and publication of Juz ‘Amma recitation recordings released on 21 August 2015, which were distributed through digital platforms such as YouTube, expanding access to Qur’anic learning resources for students and the wider community.
  • Led the publication and distribution of Islamic educational literature, strengthening religious literacy and access to authentic Islamic scholarship. These publications included works on Islamic creed, prophetic traditions, and religious practices, such as The Reality of Narratives Concerning the Marriages of the Prophet (peace be upon him), The Creed of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jamāʿah, The Obligation of Following the Sunnah, Derive Your Creed from the Qur’an and Sunnah, Learning How to Perform the Prayer, and the Dhivehi translation of Al-Aqeedah Al-Wasitiyyah by Sheikh Muhammad Khalil Harras.
  • Led and supported the organization of the ILM Talk Conference, an international religious awareness programme organized by Jamiyyathu Rahma that hosted renowned Islamic scholar Mufti Ismail Menk in the Maldives to deliver public lectures. The programme strengthened public religious awareness, moral values, and spiritual development among large audiences across the country.
  • Facilitated nationwide Ramadan humanitarian initiatives, including the distribution of Iftar meals across multiple islands, providing assistance to vulnerable communities while promoting the Islamic values of charity, compassion, and social solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan.
  • Established educational assistance programmes providing financial support to university and college students, enabling access to higher education while also supporting Qur’an classes and Qur’an competitions, thereby promoting Qur’anic learning and religious scholarship among youth.
  • Organized community-based religious service initiatives, including mosque cleaning campaigns, encouraging volunteerism and strengthening community engagement in maintaining religious spaces.
  • Implemented educational and awareness workshops, including the ILM Awareness Workshop, youth strategic planning workshops, and round-table discussions aimed at encouraging intellectual dialogue, leadership development, and youth participation in community development initiatives.
  • Conducted professional development programmes for educators, including training workshops for teachers and lecturers, strengthening instructional capacity and improving the quality of both religious and academic education.
  • Developed specialized outreach programmes for women and children, including the “Ideal Muslimah” programme, focusing on Islamic values, character development, and empowerment of women, and “My Beloved Child,” a programme designed to nurture Islamic ethics, spiritual awareness, and character development among children.
  • Launched the “Smile Campaign,” a humanitarian hospital visitation initiative providing emotional and social support to patients and their families while promoting compassion, empathy, and community care as fundamental Islamic values.
