International Leadership in Promoting Islamic Dialogue, Moderation, and Strategic Communication at the OIC

Supervisor, Dialogue and Communications Department, OIC (2019 – 2021)

  • Served as Adviser at the Cabinet of the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), contributing to strategic policy discussions and institutional initiatives within one of the world’s largest intergovernmental organizations representing 57 member states across the Muslim world.
  • Led the development of the “Voice of Wisdom Centre (Sawt Al-Hikma)”, a strategic initiative of the OIC designed to promote balanced Islamic discourse, counter extremist narratives, and strengthen intellectual engagement on issues affecting Muslim societies. The Centre was established as a platform for scholarly dialogue, strategic communication, and research on contemporary ideological challenges facing Muslim communities globally.
  • Served as In-Charge of the Voice of Wisdom Centre, overseeing program development, international outreach, and collaboration with scholars, researchers, and communication specialists to produce analytical content and policy-relevant discussions aimed at promoting Islamic moderation, coexistence, and intellectual resilience.
  • Supervised initiatives within the Dialogue and Communications Department of the OIC, contributing to international dialogue efforts aimed at strengthening intercultural understanding, peaceful coexistence, and constructive engagement between Muslim societies and the wider international community.
  • Actively participated in international conferences, global policy forums, and academic dialogue platforms, representing the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and delivering presentations on Islamic moderation, balanced religious discourse, and the role of Islamic institutions in addressing contemporary global challenges.
  • Contributed to strengthening the global narrative on Islam as a religion of peace, tolerance, and intellectual tradition, while supporting OIC initiatives that promote dialogue, communication strategies, and scholarly engagement to counter misinformation and ideological extremism.

International Scholarly Contribution on International Islamic Encyclopedia of Tolerance

Published Year: 2022

Led the implementation and publication of the scholarly work “Coexistence and Acquaintance in Islam: Simplified Concepts” (2022) as part of the International Islamic Encyclopedia of Tolerance, a major multilingual scholarly initiative supervised by the Sawt Al-Hikma Center under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The project involved approximately fifty prominent scholars and intellectuals from across the Islamic world, collectively contributing to a comprehensive academic effort aimed at promoting Islamic principles of moderation, tolerance, and balanced religious understanding. The publication provides accessible, yet academically grounded perspectives based on Qur’anic teachings and classical Islamic scholarship, addressing contemporary challenges such as extremism, terrorism, radicalization, and misconceptions about Islam. Produced in both print and digital formats, the work serves as a reference resource for students, scholars, policymakers, and Muslim youth, contributing to global intellectual discourse on peaceful coexistence within Islamic civilization.
