Religious Leadership in Congregational Worship
- Served as an Imam leading congregational prayers at the Sheikh Abdul Aziz Ibn Baz Mosque (Islamic University of Madinah Mosque), demonstrating recognized proficiency in Qur’anic recitation (Tilāwah) and contributing to the spiritual life of one of the prominent religious institutions associated with the Islamic University of Madinah. This role involved guiding congregational worship and promoting disciplined Islamic practices within an academic and religious environment known for its scholarly tradition.
- Since 2011, has regularly served as an Imam leading congregational Friday (Jumu’ah) and Eid prayers, providing spiritual leadership and religious instruction to the public across various mosques in the Maldives. Played an active role in leading major congregational prayers during the holy month of Ramadan, including Taraweeh prayers at the Islamic Centre in Malé and other mosques across the Maldives, thereby strengthening community participation in collective worship. Additionally led Tahajjud prayers during the last ten nights of Ramadan at the Islamic Centre, the largest mosque in the Maldives, contributing to the spiritual engagement of large congregations during the holy month.
Establishment of the National Mosque Majlis

- Led the establishment and operationalization of the National Mosque Majlis, a national governance body designed to strengthen institutional oversight and coordination of mosque administration across the Maldives. The National Mosque Majlis was officially launched on 28 December 2023, with members formally appointed on 25 February 2024, followed by the issuance of the governing regulatory framework on 01 August 2024. The establishment of this institutional body enhanced policy coordination, governance standards, and administrative oversight of mosques nationwide, contributing to improved management of mosque operations, religious services, and community engagement initiatives.
Executed National Policy to Assign Two Imams to Mosque
- Year: 2025
- Initiated the Implementation of a national policy of the Government to assign two Imams to every mosque across all inhabited islands of the Maldives, ensuring continuity and stability in the delivery of religious services. This policy addressed operational challenges associated with reliance on a single Imam and strengthened the capacity of mosques to maintain regular congregational prayers, and community guidance services.
Digital Transformation of Mosque Administration

Launched the Masjid Management Portal, a centralized digital platform designed to modernize the administration and operational management of mosques across the Maldives. The platform provides real-time operational oversight of mosque infrastructure and services, including maintenance tracking, repair management, and administrative information relating to Imams and mosque operations. By introducing a centralized digital management system, the initiative strengthened institutional efficiency, transparency, and data-driven management of mosque services, supporting improved planning, resource allocation, and service delivery across the national mosque network.
