  Shaheem has been recognized with the Administrative Leadership Award by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre (RISSC), Amman, Jordan, through its globally recognized publication The 500 Most Influential Muslims. This recognition has been conferred for fifteen consecutive years since 2010, acknowledging his sustained leadership, policy contributions, and impact in strengthening Islamic institutions, promoting religious scholarship, and advancing community development within the Maldives and the wider Muslim world.
• Alumni Leadership Award – Islamic University of Madinah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  In recognition of his outstanding leadership and distinguished contributions to Islamic service, Dr. Shaheem was honoured with the Alumni Leadership Award from the Islamic University of Madinah on 2022. The award was formally presented by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Province, during a special ceremony held at the Islamic University of Madinah. The award recognizes distinguished alumni who have made significant contributions to Islamic scholarship, leadership, and public service at national and international levels.
• Alumni Leadership Award – International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM)
  Shaheem has also been honoured with the Alumni Leadership Award from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) on 2021 in recognition of his exceptional achievements in advancing Islamic knowledge, strengthening academic institutions, and contributing to the intellectual development of the Muslim community. The award acknowledges his sustained engagement in Islamic scholarship, leadership in public service, and contributions to strengthening collaboration between international Islamic academic institutions.
